If there was a biography about you, what would the title be?
I don’t want to dream big, my life should not be safe and deprived
My life was somewhat poor when I was young. My father had a government job but he was addicted to gambling and drinking. He used to spend all his money in this and brought very little money home.
But my mother was a very clever and clever woman, after father went to office, she used to do small jobs in everyone’s house.
For example, if you sweep someone’s house, you get some money.
Washed clothes in someone’s house and used to get some money.
Cooked food in someone’s house, brought some money and used to get some flour, salt, oil and other small things in the house.
She used to sing songs by playing dholak in someone’s house, she used to get some money in which our school fees were deposited.
But no matter how much she tries, even then we would not be able to get clothes and dresses.
We three brothers and sisters read from other’s old books
We all get greedy after seeing other’s clothes, but our mother also manages someone’s old clothes.
This process continued for many days, we used to wonder where does the mother go everyday.
One day my younger brother decided that I would find out where mother goes everyday.
We were very upset had to lie to papa when he used to come early
One day my brother started following his mother secretly, then he saw that mother went to a house and there were many clothes kept in a big bucket, she was washing clothes alone by lifting that big bucket outside and running a hand pump.
And then my brother saw that she was drying all the clothes in a rope and later she herself was drinking water from the hand pump and then a woman came from inside and gave money to her mother and said that she will come tomorrow or not.
Mother shook her head and was coming home in the same wet clothes.
Brother came to the house and started crying saying that I doubted my mother that where does mother go everyday and told us all the things, at that time I was 13 years old, how wise I had become
Now what should I tell, I do not like it, but I cannot tell these things to anyone else, my mother did so much for us, due to which we are all alive today and are taking care of our home.
My mother taught me to live with self-respect, no matter how difficult the circumstances may be, no matter what the lack, but don’t put your honor at stake for a few money, eat the dry bread of your hard work with respect.
And even today we live on little but don’t let our faith fall for money 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
