Sage Parashara was such a sage who made love with his daughter.

Parashar Rishi was going to do penance in the forest, he had no son, his wife said that if you go to do penance, what will happen to me, how will I become a son, Parashar Rishi said that I will send my semen to you there, you will become a son now Parashar The sage forgot the promise given to his wife in penance but one day he remembered that I had promised my wife that I would send my semen to you.

But now he remembered that I had promised my wife, he took out his semen and put it on a leaf and asked the swan to deliver my semen to my wife.

The goose was carrying a leaf, then a crow dropped the semen by pecking, a fish’s mouth was open, the semen went into the fish’s mouth, now the fish became pregnant. Had caught the fish, he was happy to see the girl. She had no child, he brought her up.

The girl was named matasgandha because her body smelled of fish because she came out of the stomach of a fish.

When the penance of sage Parashara was completed, he went to the river bank to go to his hermitage. There the fisherman was having food. He sent his daughter to cross the river with sage Parashara.

Parashar Rishi was fascinated by her appearance, he asked her to have a physical relationship but she refused, saying that we have to accept his condition, only then we can have a relationship and Matsgandha put that condition in front of him, the sage made an island there, Matsgandha’s body used to smell fishy, that too got cured and both of them had a relationship in the boat itself.

कुछ महीनों के बाद matsgandha के एक पुत्र हुआ उसका नाम कृष्णा द्वैपायन था बाद मे वो ऋषि वशिष्ठ के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुआ
