Today there is a fast for children. All the mothers keep fast for the well-being of their children. Today, after the sun sets, puja is done and food is served to the family first and then the mothers have food.

Every year on this day I make puri, kadhi, kheer, laddu.

It is a matter of time, there was a time when we had small children, sister-in-law also had children, there were elders in the house, the house was full, so many dishes were prepared by me and my mother-in-law and later, after the puja, I used to go to the feet of all the people. I used to touch and after offering food to everyone, I used to eat food.

Now all the children have grown up, the elders have gone, the children have gone to study, the girls have got married, everyone’s homes have changed, now only I, my husband and the elder son are left, the younger son has gone to Delhi to study.
