When a fierce storm comes, the mind trembles. When there was a fierce storm in Kolkata.

At that time, when the storm came, a cloud of dust was rising and big trees in front of me were falling.

Then I saw from the glass of my verandah a coconut tree which was very old and how it was facing that terrible storm alone. All the trees around it had fallen.

My window panes were also shaking a lot. My husband and children were awake all night and were also afraid of what would happen tonight.

But my focus was on the coconut tree and how it was maintaining its balance and facing the storm.

Many old houses had collapsed in front of me but I was also thinking that whatever will happen now will be seen.

We were awake the whole night; in the morning the storm stopped but I saw that the coconut tree had survived.

Perhaps it was his life or his patience that saved him, everything was destroyed, the birds were lying dead.

I saw God’s grace firsthand when that pond was safe even after such a storm.
