that closed window

Even today, when I remember that closed window, I feel sad.

It was my childhood friend’s window which was often open and my friend’s younger brother who was 5 years old used to peek in.

he had tiny hands

When I used to go to school, he used to put his little hands out of the window and when I used to hold his hand, he used to laugh a lot and he used to be very happy. When I used to let go of his hand, he used to say bye bye to me and used to keep shouting until I left that street.

It has been a long time since that child stopped appearing in that window, then I asked my friend where did Billu go

Then my friend told me that Billu left, his father got a job and they left. Now no one comes to the window, only Billu used to peek from that window.

Days passed and my house was sold

I grew up, started studying in college, the school had also changed, I forgot everything but I did not forget my Billu

After a long time, I too got married and when I go to meet everyone in the colony, I see

There were some boys standing who knew me, they were my friends, they greeted me, I did not recognize one boy

Then a friend said hey this is your cat

I said it is so young

Billu was also happy to see me

then he shook hands with me

I was happy to see him and looking at that window I said that now you come to that window, then Billu said sister now you get out of that lane then I will come to the window, now I also don’t like the window.
